The Alliance of Digital Humanities Organizations (ADHO) has approved the formation of the GeoHumanities Special Interest Group, and our activities will get under way soon. The group's focus is on spatial, spatial-temporal and placial perspectives in the digital humanities. The successful proposal can be downloaded here.

Our principal means of communication will be an email list. Please do subscribe here. The group also has a Twitter account, @GeoHum_SIG

Our initial plans for the group web site include member-annotated listings for projects, tools, and publications of interest. We welcome comments and suggestions for the design of those features, as well as for others not mentioned.

Of course there are other clearinghouses of information about resources for GeoHumanities scholarship, and we don't wish to duplicate efforts. One early step is to identify all such sites−please let us know of resources you find valuable via the group's mail list.

Stay tuned to this space for further developments!

Best wishes from your inaugural co-chairs,

Kathy Weimer (Texas A & M University)
Karl Grossner (Stanford University)
